Jonathan (Jon) Murphy is from February 1, 2010 the Chief Constable of Merseyside Police. He has previously served as Deputy Chief Constable and a member of Association of Chief Police Officers.
He studied for a BA (Hons) in Law at Liverpool University[1] In 2001 he gained a diploma in Applied Criminology from Cambridge University.[2]
He is a recipient of the Queen's Police Medal.
